Our Queens
Meet the heart of the Orimeeze breeding programme
At Orimeeze, we currently have one proven queen and one young female maturing into her role.
Each queen is DNA tested for breed-specific genetic conditions.
In line with NZCF guidelines, our queens have no more than two litters within a twelve-month period. Our philosophy is simple - the wellbeing of our cats always comes first, and every breeding decision is made with their health and future in mind.
Ginny
Cinnamon Oriental Shorthair
Registered name: Grand Champion Nomices Hot Off The Press
Born: Auckland, New Zealand, September 2024
Sire: Gold Double Grand Champion Azorez Mithral Magic (IMP Canada)
Dam: Champion Tacodah Morena
Ancestry: New Zealand, Canadian, Australian, USA, and Russian lines
Health testing: DNA tested through Orivet Australia (MyCatScan™ panel – screened for 74 diseases and 20 traits). Clear results and negative for PRA. She does not carry the pointed gene, meaning she will produce Oriental kittens only. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV .
Ginny is the heart of Orimeeze - the girl who truly began this journey for us. From the moment she arrived, she embodied everything we had hoped to achieve in our breeding programme: elegance, warmth, and a beautifully balanced temperament.
She carries herself with quiet confidence, as a mother, she is attentive and nurturing, passing on her gentle nature and quality to her kittens.
Ginny represents not only the foundation of Orimeeze, but the direction and future of everything we are working towards.
